I am Jack Santucci, a recent Georgetown Ph.D. focused on parties, elections, and alternative voting rules. I aim to understand America’s periodic waves of election reform, how the party system responds, and whether there are consequences for interest representation.
My dissertation and book project accounts for the rise and fall of proportional voting systems in American cities, 1893-1962. I have other, in-progress work on ranked-choice voting, public opinion, and legislative cohesion. Please visit my academic website for more information.
