I am a political scientist. This blog is mostly about American politics and teaching. It has been online since August 2014.

Posts reflect a normative commitment to liberal democracy, theoretical commitment to representative democracy, and the perspective of an Americanist who studied comparative politics in school. I try to avoid partisanship in my work. Earlier posts may be more reformist than later ones.
